The Farmers Market ride is every Sunday! It starts at Bikestation @ 9:10 then heads to Porfolio then Jones…then up and over the bridge to the Market for some fresh goodies! The bike blender will be there too! So go grab some fresh fruit and throw it in the blender for a yummy smoothie! See you Sunday!
What a great (hot) day to take the Bike Blender on its maiden ride! For those of you that have ridden with us, you may have heard us talk about the bike blender. The mythical device that combines human power and organic goodness which creates smoothies of the gods.
Well it’s here. Is it as much fun as he hoped? Better! Instead of imaginary smoothies, we’ve got real ones now! Here are some snaps of the hardcore smoothie making action. Join us next week and blend your own.
After a short break from doing the Farmers Market Bikepool, we’re at it again. These are photos from June of 2008. The day was beautiful and we had a fun group of people come out and ride. Some newcomers and a few veterans. Make sure to join the fun next week!

Even though it was a scorcher of a day, we still got a pretty good attendance of riders for our first BikePool, which took place in April of 2008.
The ride first started at Bikestation, where we picked up the first few riders.
Then we rode to Portfolio and picked up a few more riders.
Then off to Jones where we got even more riders!
Then a final push to the Farmers Market where almost everyone came back with a jug of chilled juice.

Join us for Long Beach’s first ever BikePool! As seen in the Grunion Gazette, we want residents to “go green” in a simple, fun and social way. If you shop at our wonderful Farmers Market on Sunday and want to get there by bike, come join us. The ride will be casually paced and family-friendly. We’ll have ride captains give you some tips in riding on the street and will guide you safely to the Farmers Market.
We will depart from three meeting locations (Bikestation, Portfolios and Jones Bikes), so go to your nearest departure point and join us. A ride captain will be there to greet you and tell you about the route.
The participating businesses are also offering some great incentives. You can enter to win a free bike tune-up at Bikestation, get 10% off all drinks at Portfolios and 10% off on locks, lights and helmets at Jones!
