This got me this morning so I went back and did some quick searching. How did Russ make out awhile back with his ticket?

I found this quote while searching. This officer is on the mark.

"Bike-friendly communities around the county were 'built on sugar, not salt,' as they say in the South. They took time, planning and folks willing to do the right thing; forcing legislation probably won’t get us anywhere. You can make a law but if it’s unpopular, enforcing it is something else, à la prohibition."

If you ever get cited by law enforcement for not riding far enough to the right as a cyclist lets us know. We have had five of these citation dismissed in court. These cites cannot hold up in court in most cases as the vehicle code gives most of the discretion to the cyclist. email us for details updates@laag.us
